FREE WINDOWS APPLICATION
IT Broliai PC Check measures processor, memory and system disk performance in under a minute and produces one comparable score. It needs no installation or administrator rights and never connects to the internet: the result is saved as a JSON file on your computer only.
ZIP archive, version 1.2.0. The benchmark runs on Windows 10 or 11 (.NET Framework 4.8 is already part of Windows). The same application also collects the inventory; for macOS and Linux computers the archive includes an inventory script.

WHAT IS MEASURED
Overall score = 40% single-core + 25% multi-core + 20% memory + 15% disk. 1000 points equals a reference office PC, and scores can go higher.
| Measurement | Weight | What happens | 1000-point reference | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Single-core performance | 40 % | SHA-256 hashing on one thread for about 7 seconds | 500 MB/s | Office applications, browsers and most business systems depend most on single-thread speed |
| Multi-core performance | 25 % | The same hashing on all threads for about 8 seconds | 3000 MB/s | Shows how the computer copes when several programs work at once |
| Memory copy | 20 % | Copying a large buffer for about 5 seconds | 12000 MB/s | Reveals a single memory module instead of two or a disabled memory profile |
| System disk | 15 % | Sequential write and read plus random 4 KB operations on a temporary file | 700 MB/s | Separates HDD from SSD and NVMe and exposes a full or worn disk |
The references are the same ones IT BROLIAI uses to assess customer computers, so scores can be compared across computers and over time. Do not use the computer while the test runs.

The overall score is an average, and Min–max shows the worst and best result for that model. If your score is well below the average, see the section How to read the score.
PRIVACY AND CONTROL
The application is built so it can be run on any computer without asking where the data goes.
The application and scripts do not connect to the internet. Results remain in the results folder until you delete or share them yourself.
A single .exe file runs on Windows 10 and 11 with the preinstalled .NET Framework 4.8. Nothing is installed and no system settings are changed.
User names, documents, passwords, browsing history, company name and public IP address are not collected.
The package includes PowerShell scripts so you can read exactly what is measured and run them instead of the application.
CPU temperature is recorded before the test and after each stage when a supported sensor is available. Without a sensor the test still completes.
Copy the folder to a USB stick: each computer adds its own result file, and the unattended mode needs no clicks.
HOW TO USE IT
UNATTENDED MODE
The application accepts a switch that runs the test and closes the window automatically. This is convenient when several computers must be measured from one instruction.

HOW TO READ THE SCORE
Compare the overall score first, then look at which sub-score is low. The cause is usually a setting or a worn part, not the whole computer.
Low single-core score. Check the power plan, BIOS mode, thermal throttling and background load.
Low multi-core score with a normal single-core score. Check cooling, power limits and whether the test ran on battery.
Low memory score. Common causes: a single memory module instead of two, mismatched modules or a disabled XMP / EXPO profile.
Low disk score. Check whether it is an HDD rather than an SSD / NVMe, plus disk health, free space and encryption overhead.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No. The application and scripts do not connect to the internet. Results are written only to the results folder next to the application, or to the PC Check Results folder on the Desktop when that folder is read-only. What happens to the files is up to you.
No. Windows 10 or Windows 11 with the preinstalled .NET Framework 4.8 is enough. The file can be run from any folder or USB stick.
Only when a supported sensor is available on the computer, such as LibreHardwareMonitor or a Windows ACPI thermal zone. Otherwise the temperature is marked as unavailable and the test still completes.
Compare the score with your other computers or send the result file to us by email. We will assess whether the computer performs as it should for its processor and what is worth changing. Files from several computers can be merged into one report with the browser tool Inventory report.
