FREE INVENTORY

PC inventory and a combined report without a server

IT Broliai PC Check collects the operating system, processor, memory, disks, battery, monitors, printers and installed programs of a computer in 15 seconds. A browser tool merges files from several computers into one PDF, CSV or XLSX report. Neither the application nor the tool uploads anything to a server.

ZIP archive, version 1.2.0. A Windows 10 or 11 application (.NET Framework 4.8 is already part of Windows) plus an inventory script for macOS and Linux computers in the same archive. The Windows application also runs the benchmark.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps to a company-wide hardware list

No agents, accounts or server needed. The application collects the data and the browser merges it.

01

Run PC Check on each computer

Copy the folder to a USB stick, click Inventory on each Windows computer or run it unattended. On Mac and Linux computers run the script from the scripts folder in a terminal. Each computer adds its own JSON file to the results folder.

ITBroliai-PC-Check.exe /inventory /quiet
bash scripts/collect-pc-inventory.sh
02

Collect the files

The results folder holds one file per computer. The files contain no user names, documents or passwords, so they can be moved or forwarded safely.

03

Merge into a report in the browser

Drop all the files into the Inventory report tool. The browser merges them by computer name and shows a summary and tables that you save as PDF, CSV or XLSX.

WHAT IS COLLECTED AND WHAT IS NOT

Hardware and software only, no personal data

The package includes PowerShell scripts in which you can read every collected field.

CollectedNot collected
Operating system, version and install dateUser names and accounts
Processor, cores, threads, clock and release yearDocuments, files and their names
Memory: GB, type, speed and module countPasswords and browsing history
Disks: model, serial number, size, type and system flagEmails, messages and calendars
Batteries: design and full-charge capacity, health, cyclesCompany name and public IP address
Display adapters, monitors and printers with models and serial numbersNetwork or Wi-Fi passwords
Installed programs: name, version, publisher and install dateLicence keys and application settings

Monitor and disk serial numbers are collected so that equipment can be identified in records. If you do not need them, remove the column from the exported file.

COMBINED REPORT

What the merged report contains

  • Summary: number of computers, batteries below 80 %, HDD system disks, average processor age
  • Computer table with processor, memory, system disk, battery health and the benchmark score when one was run
  • Separate disk, battery, display adapter, monitor and printer tables
  • Installed program summary: how many computers have each program and which versions
  • PDF through the browser print dialog, CSV for Excel and XLSX with separate sheets

WHO IT IS FOR

Before purchases, an audit or a handover

The report shows which computers have an old processor, a worn battery or an HDD, and which programs are installed across the company. That is enough for a purchase plan, an IT audit appendix or a handover document for a new IT provider.

For a one-off review this tool is enough. When hardware, warranties and licences must be tracked continuously, that is what the managed IT service does.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions about the inventory

Do the inventory files reach the IT BROLIAI server?

No. The application does not connect to the internet, and the report tool reads the files in your browser without sending any request containing their content. PDF, CSV and XLSX are generated locally.

How do I inventory many computers?

Copy the PC Check folder to a USB stick and run the inventory on each computer; each computer adds its own file to the results folder. Then drop all the files into the report tool at once.

Which formats does the report come in?

PDF through the browser print dialog (A4 landscape), semicolon-separated CSV for Excel and XLSX with separate sheets for computers, disks, batteries, display adapters, monitors, printers and programs.

Is personal data collected?

No. Only hardware and software information is collected. User names, documents, passwords, browsing history, emails, licence keys, company name and public IP address are not collected.

CONTINUOUS RECORDS

Need hardware and licences tracked continuously?

A one-off report is fine for a review. The managed IT service records hardware, warranties and licences continuously and reminds you when to replace what.
